GlobalMed has partnered with OXOS Medical to integrate portable X-ray imaging into its virtual care platform, while securing exclusive rights to offer OXOS products within the U.S. federal government market.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based telehealth company said the agreement combines its eNcounter virtual care platform with OXOS' MC2 portable X-ray system, allowing clinicians to acquire radiographic images at the point of care and share them for remote specialist review. The exclusive federal deployment rights cover customers including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal healthcare organizations.

According to the companies, the integration is intended to expand access to diagnostic imaging in settings where conventional imaging equipment may not be practical, including rural clinics, correctional facilities, military operations and emergency response environments.

The FDA-cleared MC2 is a wireless portable X-ray system that supports radiography, dynamic digital radiography and fluoroscopy. GlobalMed said incorporating the device into its platform will allow providers to capture images during virtual care encounters and transmit them for real-time consultation, supporting diagnosis and treatment decisions without requiring patients to travel to centralized imaging facilities.

"This partnership represents a major step forward in delivering truly comprehensive care at the point of need," said Joel Barthelemy, CEO of GlobalMed. "By integrating OXOS's portable radiographic systems into our platform, we are enabling providers to diagnose and treat patients in real time, regardless of location. Our exclusive federal partnership ensures that government agencies can deploy these capabilities at scale across some of the most challenging care environments."

"GlobalMed's leadership in virtual health and federal healthcare makes them an ideal partner for expanding access to diagnostic imaging," said Evan Ruff, CEO of OXOS Medical. "Together, we are redefining how and where X-ray imaging can be delivered, bringing fast, accurate diagnostics directly to the patient and enabling better clinical outcomes."

GlobalMed said the combined offering is designed to support distributed healthcare delivery by reducing delays associated with patient transport and improving access to imaging across fixed, mobile and field-based care settings. The companies did not disclose financial terms of the agreement.
