Royal Philips has signed a national agreement with Optum Healthcare, bringing its ambulatory cardiac monitoring solutions into Optum’s preferred provider network in the U.S., making Philips’ Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCOT) and Extended Holter (ePatch) technologies accessible to approximately 3.4 million members across 22 states.
The Netherlands-based health technology company said the deal aims to support earlier detection of cardiac conditions and reduce delays in patient referrals by integrating its monitoring tools into Optum’s existing care workflows. The services will be available across commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicare, and Medicaid plans.
Julia Strandberg, chief business leader of connected care at Philips, said the agreement allows Philips to “reach even more patients and help them receive the care they deserve.” She added that the monitoring services “empower primary care physicians and cardiologists with actionable data that enables them to build stronger collaboration across care teams and can ultimately improve patient outcomes.”

Philips said its wearable cardiac monitors can enhance diagnostic accuracy and care coordination by providing clinicians with continuous cardiac data. The company also pointed to the potential for improved patient adherence due to the user-friendly nature of its devices.
The partnership is positioned to help Optum providers implement more efficient care delivery models and support payers looking to advance value-based care frameworks. Philips did not disclose financial terms of the agreement.
According to the company, its MCOT and ePatch technologies allow patients to undergo extended cardiac monitoring outside hospital settings while maintaining their daily routines. Philips says this integration with Optum’s network simplifies access to its services for both patients and referring providers.
No third-party clinical outcomes data related to the partnership were shared.
