Royal Philips has announced the appointment of Ling Liu as the chief region leader of Philips Greater China, effective immediately.
Liu takes over from Andy Ho, who is retiring after a long career with the company, and will report directly to CEO Roy Jakobs. Liu and Ho are collaborating to ensure a smooth transition.
"Ling is a talented, trusted leader and I am delighted that she will join Philips’ executive committee as the chief region leader of Philips Greater China," Jakobs stated. "She is a proven executive who brings a wealth of international experience and deep HealthTech expertise in China. I would also like to express my deep gratitude to Andy for his exceptional leadership."
Liu has been with Philips since 1998, holding multiple roles in Greater China, the Netherlands, and North America. Her most recent position was chief commercial officer in Greater China, preceded by her role as head of finance for Philips in North America. Liu has a strong track record in driving execution and boosting performance, developing teams, and delivering value to customers and partners.
She holds a Master of Finance and Control degree from Maastricht University, a master’s degree in management engineering from Shanghai University, and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Zhejiang University.
China is Philips’ second largest market and a significant growth driver for the company. Philips China focuses on supporting the national health strategy, providing hospitals with clinical and research solutions, and empowering consumers to manage their health and well-being.
