Fluke Biomedical announced this week that they will acquire the quality assurance company Unfors RaySafe.

The deal is intended to expand Fluke Biomedical's test equipment portfolio.

"The acquisition of Unfors RaySafe brings to Fluke Biomedical a strong team that has delivered leading innovation to the radiation test and safety markets. The combination of Unfors RaySafe and Fluke Biomedical accelerates our ability to provide a broad portfolio of world class test equipment to our customers," said Eric Conley, general manager of Fluke Biomedical, in a statement.
Fluke Biomedical manufactures biomedical test and simulation products, including patient simulators, performance analyzers and electrical safety testers. The acquisition will give the company an enhanced portfolio that will now include quality assurance devices for diagnostic X-ray.

According to Fluke Biomedical, the company's goal is to provide health care institutions and medical device manufacturers with a complete portfolio of test equipment.
