Once again, health care added jobs to the U.S. employment situation, according to the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which was released Friday.

Twenty-eight thousand jobs in ambulatory health care services were added in January, which includes doctors' offices and outpatient care centers. However, the gain was offset by a loss of 8,000 jobs in nursing and residential care facilities, according to the report.

In total, the number of unemployed persons in the U.S. was little changed last month. The unemployment rate has hovered around 7.9 percent since September 2012.
