Infosys indicated that the acquisition will broaden its access to provider clients while adding domain expertise in healthcare operations. The company also plans to integrate Optimum’s services with its existing cloud, cybersecurity, and application modernization offerings.

“Optimum Healthcare IT has established a strong position in the healthcare sector by consistently delivering measurable outcomes through deep domain expertise and trusted client engagements,” said Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, in a statement.

Optimum’s leadership emphasized continuity following the acquisition. “With Infosys' long-term investment and global scale behind us, we're positioned to accelerate AI and digital-led growth and expand what we can deliver while remaining anchored in the values, service model, and healthcare focus our clients count on,” said Gene Scheurer, CEO and cofounder of Optimum Healthcare IT.

The acquisition reflects continued consolidation in the healthcare IT consulting market, as large technology firms seek to deepen relationships with provider organizations pursuing cloud migration, data integration, and operational modernization.
