Royal Philips has expanded its strategic partnership with neurovascular therapy company Sim&Cure, to integrate Sim&Size software into Philips’ Azurion image-guided therapy platform.
The integration is designed to streamline neurovascular procedures, particularly for treating complex brain aneurysms, by offering enhanced workflow efficiency and precision.
Existing brain aneurysm treatment methods methods often rely on multiple manual steps, increasing variability and procedure time. By embedding Sim&Size directly into Azurion, clinicians can simulate device placement, optimize device selection, and guide deployment within a single platform.

“The strengthened collaboration with Sim&Cure allows us to bring the power of simulation and image-guided therapy together in one platform, enhancing physician confidence and improving patient outcomes,” said Nicole Hermkens, VP Marketing IGT Systems at Philips. “By integrating Sim&Size into our Azurion platform, we are reducing complexity and variability in neurovascular procedures, ultimately helping to address the growing burden of brain aneurysms.”
Philips’ Azurion platform has been central to its image-guided therapy solutions, with more than five million patients treated
since its launch in 2017. Earlier this year, Philips introduced a
biplane version of Azurion, optimized for neuro interventions with enhanced imaging capabilities and workflow features.
