In addition to unveiling its Resona I8 ultrasound system at the annual RSNA meeting underway in Chicago, Mindray has also announced plans to enter the digital radiography (DR) market, with anticipated offerings in fixed and mobile solutions.

The Resona I8 is a compact, mobile ultrasound system equipped with the New Jersey-based company's proprietary Zone Sonography Technology+ (ZST+), which provides software-based beamforming to enhance imaging precision while streamlining workflows. The new system is positioned to complement the Resona I9 and Resona 7 Platinum models in the company’s growing lineup.

With a five-year warranty and a focus on affordability for a broad range of practices, the Resona 18 aims to make high diagnostic performance accessible to more providers.

"The addition of the Resona I8 to the Resona-Series enhances Mindray's offerings to deliver a comprehensive suite of radiology ultrasound solutions. This new system demonstrates Mindray's dedication to enhancing the capabilities of radiologists and medical imaging professionals, ensuring diagnostic precision and ease-of-use," said Maher Elhihi, senior director, Ultrasound Marketing and Corporate Communications, Mindray North America. Elhihi continued, "At Mindray, we have always been committed to pushing boundaries and setting new standards in medical imaging. As we expand our footprint into Digital Radiography, we remain dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology that not only meets but exceeds industry standards."

Mindray's forthcoming digital radiography products will further establish the company’s presence in radiological imaging.

These solutions, pending regulatory approval in various markets, aim to complement the company’s ultrasound systems by addressing diverse imaging needs in healthcare settings.

Mindray has been providing medical technologies for over 30 years, focusing on patient monitoring, anesthesia, and ultrasound solutions.
