Sam Itani has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Shasta Regional Medical Center, effective Monday, September 16.
Sam joins Prime Healthcare with more than 30 years of healthcare management experience. For the past three years, Sam served as the CEO of Southwest Healthcare-Corona Regional Medical Center, a 259- bed acute care facility in Corona, Calif. During his tenure, Sam expanded service lines, enhanced operational efficiency, and significantly improved patient care outcomes.
Prior to his role at Corona Regional, Sam spent more than two decades with Adventist Health in Bakersfield, Calif., where he served as Senior Vice President of Operations. There, he led initiatives such as the development of a comprehensive Breast Center and a certified chest pain center, significantly enhancing service offerings and clinical outcomes.
Sam holds a Master of Science in Clinical Technology from Pittsburgh State University and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
