SimonMed has chosen AIRS Medical’s SwiftMR platform for deployment across its outpatient imaging network, following an internal review of artificial intelligence tools aimed at improving MR performance.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based imaging provider said the rollout will extend across its national footprint, which includes more than 170 centers. SwiftMR is an FDA-cleared software designed to enhance MR images and reduce scan times using deep learning.

The decision comes as imaging providers face growing demand for MR services alongside pressure to maintain diagnostic quality while increasing throughput. SimonMed indicated the platform will be used across its existing fleet of scanners, which includes equipment from multiple vendors.

“AI in imaging has reached a point where it can meaningfully elevate both the quality and accessibility of care, but only if deployed thoughtfully at scale,” said Dr. Sean Raj, chief medical officer and chief innovation officer at SimonMed.

He added, “We rigorously evaluated every major solution in the market, and this was a clear decision. We chose AIRS Medical because their technology consistently delivered high-quality images, the most reliable performance across diverse scanner environments, and the greatest potential to improve the patient experience.”

SwiftMR is designed to operate without additional hardware, allowing integration into existing MR systems. SimonMed expects the technology to support more consistent image quality and shorter exam times across sites, with potential implications for workflow efficiency.

The deployment is part of a broader effort by SimonMed to incorporate artificial intelligence into imaging operations, including both diagnostic services and preventive screening programs. The company has expanded offerings tied to whole-body MR and longitudinal health monitoring through its longevity-focused division.

AIRS Medical develops imaging software that applies deep learning to MR reconstruction and analysis. In addition to SwiftMR, its portfolio includes tools for image quantification and structured reporting.
