Konica Minolta at RSNA 2025
Konica Minolta Healthcare and German software firm deepc have announced a partnership that will embed deepc’s AI integration platform, deepcOS, into Konica Minolta’s Exa platform, aiming to make artificial intelligence more accessible in medical imaging across hospitals and imaging centers in North America.
The Wayne, New Jersey-based Konica Minolta will integrate deepcOS with its suite of Exa solutions, including PACS, RIS, enterprise, and teleradiology systems. The integration is intended to allow radiologists to access AI tools directly within their existing imaging workflows, without requiring additional software or IT infrastructure.
deepcOS functions as a vendor-neutral operating system for AI in medical imaging, offering access to a curated set of regulatory-cleared algorithms. Embedding these tools directly into the Exa environment enables AI-generated insights to appear within the radiologist’s native viewer, supporting faster decision-making while reducing administrative burden on IT teams.

"By joining forces with Konica Minolta, we can bring validated, ready-to-use AI directly to Konica Minolta customers,” said Alex King, chief revenue officer at deepc. “Together, we are giving radiology teams the confidence to work smarter and the freedom to focus on what matters most: the patient in front of them.”
Kevin Chlopecki, COO at Konica Minolta Healthcare IT, described the collaboration as a step toward providing customers a centralized, integrated platform for AI. “The Exa Platform integrates with deepcOS, providing radiologists a unified, seamless experience,” he said.
The companies say the integration will simplify deployment, support data protection compliance, and offer consistent performance across sites. Konica Minolta brings its experience in imaging and healthcare IT, while deepc provides a scalable AI infrastructure with more than 80 clinical use cases.
The partnership reflects a broader industry trend toward embedding AI into existing systems rather than introducing standalone tools, with a focus on operational efficiency and clinical relevance.
