ZOLL has received premarket FDA approval for its new Zenix monitor/defibrillator, the Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based company announced.
Zenix is intended for use in both hospital and emergency medical service environments. The system features a large touchscreen interface and includes ZOLL’s Real BVM Help and Real CPR Help technologies, which provide real-time clinical feedback on ventilation and chest compressions. According to the company, the device is designed to simplify workflows and support rapid clinical decision-making.
Elijah White, president of ZOLL Acute Care Technology, said the device was developed with input from clinicians and EMS professionals. “Whether you are a hospital clinician or an EMS professional, the ZOLL Zenix monitor/defibrillator is designed to work the way you work,” White said. “Zenix is our most advanced monitor/defibrillator, and yet it’s incredibly easy to use — virtually all functions of the device are accessible with three screen-touches or less.”
