Germany-based KARL STORZ has acquired the medical business of T1V, a visual collaboration software company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The acquisition strengthens KARL STORZ's position in integrated hardware and software solutions for digital surgery and expands its CollaboratOR portfolio of interactive touch displays, which provide real-time clinical data and images to enhance surgical workflows.
The CollaboratOR, developed in partnership with T1V, has been exclusively distributed by KARL STORZ since 2018. This acquisition ensures the continued development of the platform and integrates T1V's intellectual property, including patents in cloud-based collaboration, low-latency streaming, and multi-view windowing. The move aligns with KARL STORZ's focus on digital surgery innovations and global operating room solutions.
