Getinge has completed the first North American installation of its full Surgical Workflows portfolio at UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, which is set to open this month.
The portfolio includes a comprehensive range of technologies across three key areas: infection control (washers, sterilizers, and ultrasonic systems), surgical workplaces (operating room tables, surgical lights, and ceiling supply units), and digital health solutions (Torin OR management, Tegris OR integration, and T-DOC instrument tracking). Together, these systems are designed to streamline workflows from the operating room to the intensive care unit and sterile processing department.
The San Antonio facility will support a variety of medical and surgical specialties, emphasizing cutting-edge technology to improve surgical precision, enhance operational efficiency, and prioritize patient safety. The installation aligns with the hospital's goal to establish itself as a center for innovation in healthcare.
