Esaote Group, a medical imaging manufacturer based in Italy, has expanded its footprint in India with a new ultrasound manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Operated by its subsidiary, Esaote Asia Pacific Diagnostic Private Limited, the facility will produce Esaote’s MyLab A, MyLab E, and Compact Portable ultrasound systems specifically for the Indian market. The systems are expected to enter the market soon, following completion of local regulatory and quality certification processes.

The new production site reflects Esaote’s strategic move to tap into India’s growing healthcare market, where demand for advanced imaging technology is rising.
“Consolidating our presence in key markets, where the Esaote brand has been known for many years, through on-site production and the creation of a local supply chain, is part of the international development strategy and reflects the principles of environmental and social sustainability that guide us in our daily actions, in line with the Global Compact,” said Franco Fontana, CEO of Esaote, referring to the United Nations call for corporate responsibility.

Dheeraj Nasa, Esaote’s country business manager for the APAC region, emphasized the importance of this new venture. “Nothing is more powerful than Esaote Group coming together and writing a new chapter in India with great 'Italian innovation and design' combined with 'Indian skills and India digitalization,’” he said.

With a 40-year history in medical imaging, Esaote employs 1,250 people globally, half of whom are based in Italy. The company operates facilities in Genoa and Florence and is active in over 100 countries.
