The Shanghai-based company's net income attributable to shareholders grew by 1.33%, reaching 0.95 billion CNY ($134 million).
A significant highlight of the report is the nearly 30% YoY growth in overseas market revenue, which reached 0.93 billion CNY ($131 million). One of the key drivers behind this performance was United Imaging's MR segment, which generated 1.69 billion CNY ($238 million). The segment was
bolstered by the launch of the FDA-cleared uMR Jupiter 5T, the industry's first whole-body clinical ultrahigh-field magnetic resonance system.
In addition to MR, United Imaging's R&D investments contributed to its growth. The company invested 1.02 billion CNY ($143 million) in R&D during H1 2024, an 11.11% YoY increase. This focus on innovation has led to collaborations with over 50 institutions globally, resulting in more than 1,700 research publications in leading journals such as
Nature and
Radiology.
United Imaging has also made notable strides in Europe and Latin America. In Europe, the company installed its total-body PET/CT, uEXPLORER, at top-tier hospitals in Italy, and its advanced digital PET/CT system was introduced in France at the EVESIO Nuclear Medical Center. In Latin America, the National Institute of Pediatrics in Mexico became the first in the region to adopt United Imaging's advanced PET/CT technology for pediatric precision medicine.
