CruxQS has submitted a letter of
intent to acquire RDS
Software enterprise Crux Quality Solutions LLC (CruxQS) is set to add on remote dosimetry and physics support as service offerings through its planned acquisition of Remote Dosimetry Services LLC (RDS).

The purchase of the Missouri-based enterprise is expected to extend the presence of CruxQS and its FlowBoard platform into new state markets, including Mississippi, while launching the RDS franchise on a global scale for centers throughout Canada, the U.K. and India.

“RDS is a company that provides clinical services to cancer centers across 27 states. What FlowBoard brings is workflow management and a platform where providers can directly connect with both the clinical systems and the stakeholders in the the individual cancer centers,” Dharanipathy Rangaraj, founder and president of CruxQS, told HCB News. “It also helps RDS respond to client needs immediately and provides data aggregation for benchmarking in multiple clinics, which is also our value-added service for each individual clinic.”

Currently piloted at major cancer centers and universities worldwide, FlowBoard streamlines workflow processes in radiation oncology departments by reducing treatment planning time and discrepancies. It also evaluates information consistency among multiple systems and tracks the availability of resources.

The addition of RDS’ remote dosimetry services enables FlowBoard to offer a range of treatment options, from temporary or overflow coverage to full dosimetry services, while its physics support capabilities provide remote medical physics services as well as testing and commissioning of new linacs and designs, and implementations for QA programs.

RDS employees are also expected to benefit from the agreement with CruxQS planning to at least double up three or four different services lines, including training, and set up benchmarkers as avenues of growth for addressing different service lines and product development.

“There is no platform like FlowBoard currently available in the market for this particular kind of service,” said Rangaraj. “We are primarily a service company that is providing service enabled by this technology. RDS has the service and we are trying to enable that using technology to make it efficient, fast and scalable.”
