Numbers released by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) have confirmed what many attendees of November's meeting have been speculating — attendance was significantly lower than last year. Official registration figures for RSNA 2015 reported total registrant numbers at 51,922, (including 26,778 professional registrants).
Official registration figures for RSNA 2014 reported total attendance at 56,026, including 28,807 professional attendees — the highest professional attendance figure ever recorded for an RSNA annual meeting.
Those totals indicate a drop in attendance of over 4,000 people — or almost 7.5 percent.

Official registration for RSNA 2013 reported total attendance at 54,008.
The meeting in 2007 had the highest attendance in recent years with 62,501 total attendees. The 2015 meeting had the lowest total turn-out of any year since then.
