FIME continúa ampliándose

Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | August 06, 2014
I have been coming to FIME since the third year of the show all the way back in 1992. Over the years, I have watched the exhibitor space grow from half of one hall, to two and today, it is four halls at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This year I noticed that the exhibitor makeup is more diverse, with a greater number of countries represented. Exhibitors from Korea, China, Spain, Pakistan, Germany and Poland just to name a few. In a way, it's very similar to Medica, but on a smaller scale.
As for attendees, it seems to me that there are a lot of brokers and distributors visiting from from South America escaping the winter, with a smattering of physicians too.
Products on display are a cross section of home health care, ultrasound, supplies, consumables and even components. But there's not much in the way of diagnostic imaging with the exception of ultrasound which has become more of a commodity.
I relaxed in a comfortable vibrating chair, I met a lot of friends and tonight, I'm planning to dine on Cuban food and attend several parties.
