German mobile C-arm manufacturer Ziehm Imaging GmbH said Thursday it opened a new sales office in France, with the Paris-based branch the company's seventh office worldwide.
The Nuremberg-based company said more than 60 percent of its product turnover comes from exports, and that France is an important buyer of German medical technology.
"We are very pleased to be represented with our own office in France," Thierry Dodier, CEO of Ziehm's French division, said in a statement. "By strengthening our presence on site, we aim to gain new customers and continue to develop our market share in France."
Ziehm's U.S. headquarters is in Orlando, Fla. The 29-year-old company also has offices in Italy, Finland, Russia and Singapore.
In September, the U.S. subsidiary of Ziehm's parent company, ATON GmbH, a German private investment firm, bought American mini C-arm-maker OrthoScan Inc.
