Danish used medical equipment vendor Epoka Medic Mission has changed its name to LBN Medical and has moved into a new headquarters in Aalborg, a town in North Jutland, Denmark.
The company, which announced the new name in an October newsletter, said the changes reflect its "newfound independence and focus" from its sister company, Epoka Group, an IT firm based in Pandrup, Denmark, which it used to share an office with, but from which it now is legally separate.
"[LBN Medical] is still the same, from the employees to the VAT and registration number. However...we are independent and moving on," the company said.
LBN Medical, which moved into its new digs in August, also appointed a new CEO, Mehdi Smail, in May. Smail stepped in for Lars Braun Nielsen, who founded Epoka Medic Mission in 2003. Nielsen remains LBN's major shareholder and a member of the board, and he's developing its large equipment sales program, the company said on its website. He's also still a partner at Epoka Group, the company said.
