Medicity's Vice President Bill Sims spoke with DOTmed News at this year's HIMSS conference about the company's release of the information exchange program iNexx for physician use.

The iNexx had been available only for hospital use, as an interface to allow hospitals and other large health care providers to access patient electronic information regardless of the type of system -- paper, EMR, document imaging -- storing the information. Now, this interface is available to physicians who might not yet have a sophisticated EMR program.
