Here's one for the top 10 of the class. Working on a re-install of a GE Brite Speed. System was relocated across the hall. After 2 days of simple errors and such repairs we have an almost fully functional CT. Table works and knows where it is, and the console is 100%. The issue is the gantry, it wont rotate when commanded. Placed in service mode , and using the service control switches, the Gantry motor doesn't engage, but all lights a green, it should move. I found one fault light on the motor control board , and yet the power and run LEDs are also on. Replaced the entire power and control modules.
no change, new card has the fault also.
When taken into Tube warm up the Tube spins up and stays that way, no gantry movement.
SO if you have a thought or an idea, or any reference materials, Ive got 7 manuals for this dam CT but still no luck.
First thank you for your response's.
Error log showed it was communication, swoped fiber optics. Didn't change. I finally opened up Jericho and went back over all the power connections. Found the problem. The contactor for gantry axil power C01, which is supposed to close on command axil drive, was staying open. Turns out GE issued a Dicom Statement replacing both of theses contactors because the mag starter would not hold. Spent 2 days on this. again thanks for all your help.
Check the Fuse of the axial braking module. There was step down transformer at the back of the gantry. Locate the 12amp fuse and check. hope this will solve your problem

It turns out that the problem was in the PDU. The axial drive relay was not closing all the way and had to be replaced.

There would have to be an error along the way in the gesysxxxx log... unless the system doesn’t ‘see’ a command for rotation.

Can the gantry be rotated by hand with the axial drive switch off?

No, because the rotation motor driver has a magnetic locks inside. Did you check frequency converter ?

Yes and that's when I realized that the power coming into the gantry was not right. PDU axial power relay was bad.

Curious what you found. The TGP/MSUB could been involved in this since the gantry rotation is stopped during a hardware reset.
