AMX4+, with new charger board, new CPU board and new batteries. Reloaded defaults and completed full calibration. When plugged in the unit will not charge and the unit will drive. Display reads x-rays disabled, drive only, charge recommended. With key switch off the unit still boots up, the only way to turn the unit off is with CB1. Relays on charger board activate when plugged in. We are getting a TEST 4 Failure on start up. Again, did complete full calibration after reloading defaults. Does anyone have any ideas?
Are the batteries fully charged? If not use the Checksum bypass when the unit is plugged in to charge them all the way then try again. I’ve had the same problem when my batteries were at 109ish volts.
Hope that works, if not let me know.
hi i noticed your posts and wonder if u can help me.
i replace charger board and batteries but when i try calibrating and reach to the part to REMOVE CHARGE CORD" and i do this the unit shuts off.. The unit does not turn n unless plugged into the wall outlet...any ideas??
We purchased a refurbished AMX4+ from a well known company as a backup unit.
The unit came fully charged and operational - sat idle for 2 months, when it came time to use there was no display or power. Battery voltage read aprox. 50.4vdc
Replaced batteries, calibrated (had to barnish TAPS relays to get through TAPS calibration - thought a refurbed unit would have been gone through more thoroughly?) Fully charged and calibrated, after a week or so techs went to use machine and no display or power.
Company is saying we damaged the batteries by leaving unit plugged in and charging...

Recharged batteries, ran through the calibration again. Once I completed the last procedure (Field Light Timer) the unit started working.
Thanks for the help,
Mark

Can you explain the checksum bypass? I’m getting error where it it’s plugged in but stil says “recharge recommended “ as if it’s not charging.
