The 56th SNM (Society of Nuclear Medicine) Annual Meeting will be held June 13-17, 2009, in Toronto, Canada, at the Metro Convention Center. SNM invites you and your colleagues to explore the potential of molecular imaging and therapy and the power of nuclear medicine to impact patient care during the world's largest event focusing exclusively on the fields of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine.

"The 56th Annual Meeting will offer SNM's Technologist Section, thought-provoking categorical seminars and continuing education sessions, totaling more than 33 hours of continuing education credit," says Ellie Zimmer, CNMT, NCT RT(N), program committee chair. "This year, representatives from both the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine will join us for a roundtable discussion of the many challenges facing imaging technologists around the world."

Join over 3,900 of your peers who recognize this meeting as the premier event for education and networking opportunities with expanded poster categories, updated courses and sessions, an entertaining agenda of social events and an exhibit area where over 180 companies will be showing off their wares. By participating in this meeting, you can examine and evaluate future directions in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging and therapy from a research and clinical perspective. You will have the opportunity to explore the latest indications and applications of hybrid imaging and its impact on patient management and review standard, new and relevant advances in molecular imaging including applications in oncology, cardiology and neurology. During the event, attendees may also participate in discussions covering new therapeutic and diagnostic agents that are impacting the practice of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.

"As SNM heads to Toronto for its 56th Annual meeting, we once again look forward to a rewarding and engaging meeting," says Frederic Fahey, D. Sc., Chair of the SNM Scientific Program Committee and director of physics in nuclear medicine/PET, Children's Hospital, Boston. "This year's meeting promises to bring some of the most cutting-edge research to attendees, with in-depth findings on the latest in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. There will be over 1,500 scientific presentations covering both clinical and basic science and a variety of topics, including oncology, cardiology and neurology."
