Brazil’s EBSERH university hospital network chooses Agfa’s DR 800 multi-purpose X-ray room for 8 hospitals

Agfa Radiology Solutions announces that the Brazilian Hospital Services Company (EBSERH / Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares) has purchased eight multi-purpose DR 800 direct radiography (DR) rooms, through a turnkey tender. With the contract signed in January 2024, the versatile, fully integrated rooms are being installed in eight university hospitals around the country, starting in October 2024.
EBSERH’s hospital network is composed of 41 university hospitals with a broad population coverage nationwide. In addition to being important centers of education, they provide support for teaching, research and extension at the federal higher education institutions to which they are linked.

Agfa’s tender met our requirements for advanced technology in a cost-effective solution supported by a service maintenance agreement that is aligned with the high standards of our university hospitals,” says Carlo Grimaldi, Principle Engineer, Engineering Department, Missão Engenharia.
