Donovan, MD, and long-serving medical oncologist Riolin C. Andrade, MD, to WMCHealth’s new Advanced Oncology & Hematology Associates specialty practice on the Mary’s Avenue Campus in Kingston.

The doctors, who have both practiced in Kingston since 1986 and been on the HealthAlliance medical staff since that time, are Medical Directors of the Mary’s Avenue Campus’s Infusion Center. They also offer outpatient care to patients receiving intravenous therapies and consultative services to the medical staff at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus.

They practice at Advanced Oncology & Hematology Associates at 117 Mary’s Ave., Suite 102, on the Mary’s Avenue Campus. The office phone number is 845-338-5555.

Dr. Andrade specializes in managing drug treatments for people with early and advanced cancers that affect the organs, muscles, bones and connective tissue. Treatments he manages include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biological therapy, targeted drug therapy and hormone therapy.

Dr. Donovan provides those same treatments and also diagnoses and manages various blood disorders, including cancers of the blood and bone marrow. Dr. Andrade earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, now Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, in Bangalore, India, and completed an internship in general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and public health at Bangalore Medical College Hospital. He followed his internship by serving as a medical officer of Kuwait Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, working in the emergency department, outpatient care and internal medicine.

Moving to the United States, Dr. Andrade completed a second internship, this time at United Hospitals Medical Center in Newark, N.J., practicing internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery and gynecology, followed by a residency at the medical center in internal medicine.

He then completed a two-year fellowship in medical oncology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark.
