Practical: This economically designed BIO utilizes a halogen light source for long-lasting, bright light which is cost-effective for a reduced cost of ownership. Its fittings are sealed against dust and dirt, helping to improve the longevity of the vital optic and mirror assemblies. The soft tilt park/rest feature allows optics to be moved to a stationary position out of your line of vision, to eliminate the risk of damage to eyeglasses or optics when returning them to use.
Advanced technology: This BIO has an IPD control which can be adjusted to handle interpupillary distances of 48 - 75mm, and the video-aligned optical system ensures precise positioning of components for highly accurate examination. Mirror tilt controls are used to converge the illumination and visual pathways, to create excellent vizualization and true small-pupil capabilities. This BIO includes full-time safety filters, designed to protect patients from harmful UV and IR radiation. This BIO can be configured to include an optional diffuser filter, which broadens the illumination beam for enhanced viewing of the peripheral retina.
