I am having a problem with our mammography. It shows a message- the connection to the detector is down.please check cables and connections.patient registration is not possible until the problem solve. I ping the array and the brick in the sevice mode and it passed the test. When i check the error of the brick no error is reported. When i check the error of array..here is what i get...boot up errors: poweron selftest failed. P.O.S.T Failure: erase light or erase light sensor error. EL system failure: EL failed to turn. High voltage ramp task: failed sending a msg to rampHV task. Checking the arraymode- array mode is 4 (service). Array runlevel is 7 ( service is required due to an error condition).
Have you tried restoring the backup, I had this issue once and after I restored it corrected the problem, I know this is not going to always the case but my error came after a brown out had occured
I´m afraid that you have the same problem I had. This mamo has a detector wich fails frecuently, even without hard everyday use. Siemens offered us a new detector and the brick module, both thing were very very expensive.
Thus the customer decided to negociate and change the mamo.
In case you don´t have a maintenance contract with Siemens you must pay hundred of dollars each time the detector breaks. Bit tricky. Don´t you thing do?
The expected life span for these detectors is 18 to 24 months. Even though I am trained on this system, we ended up putting all of our Novation DR systems under contract. Given the cost of the contract versus the cost of regular replacements of the detectors, it made the most financial sense.
The reason for the short life span is the technology used. The detectors are manufactured by Hologic. They use a direct conversion technology using Selenium. Selenium can be destroyed at temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius and above 45 degrees Celsius, so it requires special shipping and handling procedures. In addition, selenium panels require between 2,000 and 10,000 volts applied to the selenium layer, which can contribute to early panel failure from arcing.
I need service manual, installation software and calibration, and the password to mount and calibrate the mammografhy mamomat siemens novation dr equipment.
Hello Lenny
I have novation DR and I tried to reload the SW to brick via service menu but it did not succeed. It looks brick is totally corrupted and V2 is steay not blinking. As the brick SW is booting up I can not access and retry sw load via service webpage. Is there a way to reload the sw on brick(PXCM)
This is likely a failure of either the detector or the brick. Either one or both will probably have to be replaced. I assume that you have powered the entire system down including turning off the wall circuit breaker and then restarted.
Can you please locate me where i can find the EL sensor in the detector.if you can send me photo can you send to my email, my email is marivic_harmonix@yahoo.com

Check the EL sensor located in the detector.
Take the dust on the sensor and the system will recover.
