My Lab 30 CV (2008)

April 05, 2021 11:57

Hi, I have My Lab 30 CV (made in 2008), it is in good shape, but I have not been using it for a few months and when I turned it on, there was a blinking yellow icon in left upper conner (envelop shaped) and I cannot get into archive, the keyboard is not responding as well. I pushed Alt-ctrl-archive, then "CMOS battery low, CMOS checksum lost" popped up. Please tell me if It's possible to replace the battery and fix the issue on my own, I'm not a technician, I'm a vet. What should I do? Where can I get the CMOS battery? What type of battery?
Thank you.

indeed you can do it, the battery is a standart CR2032, you would need a phillip screwdriver and a USB keyboard to reprogram de Bios config after change the batt, you also can use the USB keyboard to work meanwhile if you don want to do the change on the processor board right now, just connect it and press any key and the unit will continue uploading the system, any doubt do no hesitate in contact me
