Your problem is with pan images or ceph images?
Please specify the model of your 8000: connected with PCI board or with Ethernet for the image acquisition?
Did you check the alignment of the X-ray beam?
My problem is both pan and ceph. no image appearing on my acquisition window. It was connected thru ethernet. I tried it with my laptop thinking it might be a software issue but still the same.
In case the unit is not giving errors from the X-ray side, try the following:
-using a long enough ethernet cable connected directly to the pan sensor and to the PC,try to make image. This is to bypass any ethernet cable, or coupler problems.
(The internal ethernet cable inside the column can be damaged due to stress movements)
-The ceph control board can be defective as it carries the pan image and the ceph image to the PC. (If you get a pan image with the ethernet cable connected to the pan sensor, then connect back the pan sensor as before and connect your ethernet cable to the output of the ceph control board and try to get both pan and ceph images)
-Check the DC voltages of both sensor power supplys according to the service manual.
Good luck.
I do the step one by one like: by-passed the ethernet cable and connected it directly from pc to the digital sensor, I replace the power supply of both sensor and CJ664 board but still no image appeared in the acquisition window.
The TCP/IP was set as automatically obtain IP address.
Even in a demonstration mode no dark or demo image appeared. I can only see the timer countdown and tube head cooling during and after exposure on the acquisition window. It is nothing but an acquisition window on the screen. Firewalls and antivirus are all off.
Demo mode is a feature that prevents radiation during trade shows. The unit acts as if it was making X-rays and no error message apears. The image shown is generated by the software, not by the unit.
Help from someone still working at Kodak would be appreciated in order to follow the problem since it appeared(just after installation or later. Also if you had a training course on Kodak products, you may have some contacts with other people attending the same course as you.
This problem can't be solve by Carestream third party service provider. Even he install new KDIS and new driver, updated the masking files but still the same. I am not disregarding the software issue even I used three different pc. What I am thinking now is to replace the rotating arm assy instead of checking the cable one by one as it may disrupt the exposure. I'll keep you posted.
Thank you.
can you send me the service manual of kodak 8000C? I really need your help,i can not reset the arm position. it always tells wrong arm position.my email is halodigi@icloud.com

Check also TCP/IP protocol for the correct IP address and Subnet mask.
The firewall can also block the images. Check the settings.
