Easy-Matic

August 10, 2012 09:49

I am working on I believe a 1977 Easy-Matic (Universal) that is not with in calibration. It was flagged for not being linear. This machine has no schematics what so ever, though not sure how much I would need them anyway, would just be nice to have something. I am somewhat new to this. And from what I have read I will need to calibrate the space charge to get it back into calibration. Will the individual MA stations need calibrated after? Any help what so ever on this would be much appreciated. I do want to give my customer the best possible outcome. Thanks

Aaron,

I have some experience with these generators, usually there is a basic schematic glued to the back of the front cover, if not I'm sure I can dig one up to fax to you or e-mail (?). You also have to make sure the timer is right depending on how your measuring the mA. There are two adjustments on the Tempo timer board. The balance of the calibration is all done on the large stick resistors. There are a couple of other tricks if those don't get you close enough.

I am using a KV meter to measure and the time is off. I usually deal with new systems and this is a first time to calibrate an older unit. Thank you for your input thus far.
