BIG CAT REFUGE LOOKING FOR EQUIPMENT

November 29, 2007 04:39

We are West Virginia’s only 501(c)3, nonprofit exotic animal refuge. We provide permanent habitats, proper species specific diets and state-of-art-veterinary care; for previously abused tigers, lions, leopards, alligators, parrots, giant tortoises & many other endangered species...

Most of the animals we care for here are endangered species & all of them came to us in poor physical health (some near death). Most of these animals have endured a lifetime of medical neglect (as their owners could not legally keep them & therefore did not take them for veterinary treatment for illnesses & injuries). Many suffer from severe issues & even blindness as a result of malnutrition. All, for one reason or another, will require a life of constant veterinary care.

For this, and many other reasons, it has became necessary for us to open a clinic of our own whereas specialized veterinarians (who have offered their services for free) can visit our needy animals and provide preventative and emergency medical care.

Do you have any used (but still working) medical equipment that could be donated to our facility for a tax deduction? We will gladly supply anyone interested with proof of our organizations tax exempt status with the IRS, and a complete list of our previous donors…

If you can help, please contact John Forga at 304.438.9599 email: wvbigcats@tigermountainrefuge.org
