Los Angeles, CA – (April 8, 2021) Healthcare IT innovator MedInformatix announced today it has secured office space in Austin, TX, joining a growing number of hi-tech firms expanding their enterprise in an area known as "Silicon Hills," a widely-used comparison to the Silicon Valley region of San Francisco. The new office will serve MedInformatix's expanding community of radiology and imaging center clients across the country.

"There is no question Austin has become a hotbed for technology and innovation in the U.S.," said Pat McGonigle, President and CEO of MedInformatix. "We are thrilled to be solidifying our geographic footprint in the region and serving clients present and future for many years to come."

From start-up ventures to established technology names like Google, Facebook, Apple and Oracle, Austin and the surrounding Texas Hill Country region is increasingly becoming a location of choice for technology firms across all business sectors. Earlier this month, Elon Musk announced plans to construct a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for SpaceX. The expansions are fueled, in part, by the availability of a young and highly educated workforce. During the coronavirus pandemic, the region has become of the hottest relocation markets for tech talent.

In its 2020 annual survey of global technology leaders, professional services giant KPMG tapped Austin as "one of the world's leading technology innovation hubs over the next four years."
