Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Gus Sakis, Scott Galbari, Robert Kerwin and Felix Donoghue. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In this installment, I check in with my good friend Gus Sakis, president of MediMizer, Inc., a leading CMMS software provider for hospitals, biomedical engineering and facilities equipment management. We discuss how equipment maintenance management solutions support hospitals in general, and during times of crisis like the coronavirus pandemic.

In this installment, I check in with Scott Galbari, chief technology officer of Lyniate, about the new ONC and CMS interoperability rules, the importance of ensuring patient access to medical information, and how the COVID-19 pandemic factors into these important and complex topics.

In this installment, I check in with Robert J. Kerwin, general counsel for International Association of Medical Equipment Remarketers and Servicers (IAMERS), about legislation that has been filed on Capitol Hill to support hospital equipment servicers in their 'right to repair' life-saving technology during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Kerwin wrote an article about the legislation yesterday, which goes into great detail about what it could mean for providers, why some people are for it and why others are speaking out against it.

After watching the interview, I encourage you to read Mr. Kerwin's article and share your comments with us.

In this installment, I check in with Felix Donoghue, owner of FX Rays & Imaging, about the supply chain challenges of operating an imaging components business from Belgaum, a small city in India, and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
