ContextVision's Rivent
ContextVision has launched an image enhancement product for ultrasound, which the company says meets the demand for stronger processing without compromising the natural look of the images or introducing artifacts.

Called Rivent, the product is the eighth generation of ultrasound enhancements for the Swedish company, which works with OEMs to offer the solution. It was on display in the company’s booth at the RSNA annual meeting.

“We have seen a large demand for stronger processing, more contrast and more well-defined borders,” Ann-Sofi Hoff, marketing and business development manager for the medical imaging business unit at ContextVision. “With Rivent we have now achieved that. It can address this and still maintain the natural look, or sometimes people say the ‘MRI look.’”

The image quality optimization is available in both near and far field, with automatic adaption to line density in real time, according to the company.

Earlier this year, ContextVision commercially released Altumira, an AI-powered image enhancement product for static and dynamic digital radiography that displays a more consistent look between patients, different types of anatomy and different exposure levels. The product debuted at last year’s RSNA annual meeting.
