The Niche Medical NSPF030 Protection Plus Pre-Filter (#901205) is replaceable and compatible with Niche Medical units and the Surgimedics Turbo Smoke Evacuators.

The Pre-Filter is designed to provide visual indication that the pre-filter needs to be replaced. When you notice that the top layer of the filter media is covered with dark brown or black sediment, it is time to make the change. The useful life of the pre-filter is normally three to five procedures. It is easily replaced, and can be quickly done during a procedure if necessary.

The primary benefit to removing particulate matter and odors found in laser plume or surgical smoke in two filter stages is that the pre-filter ensures the optimum performance and useful life of the more expensive ULPA filter used with the smoke evacuator. The pre-filter removes particles down to 0.1 microns at 99.9995% efficiency, thus saving the ULPA filter from the "heavy lifting."
